Gray Flower

Ceramic bowl thrown on a pottery wheel using white stoneware clay. Trimmed bowl is then covered on the top rim and outside with black slip. The black slip is carved to show the sunflower and butterfly designs.  The bowl is coated with a translucent white food safe glaze which renders the gray bowl color.  Round bowl 5.5 inches wide and 2.7 inches tall
